Gail Miller is a professional artist from East Yorkshire, who has a B.A. degree in knited textiles and fashion. She worked as a knitwear designer for National newsstand magazines, such as Machine Knitting News and Modern Machine Knitting, for several years, as well as designing freelance for yarn companies such as Atkinsons and Bramwells. These days, however, knitting has taken a back seat and she pursues her real love; painting.
Gail, has exhibited in galleries in the UK, including Dock Gallery - Goole, Goole Museum, Pink Gallery - Helensburgh, Burlington Gallery - Bridlington, Gallery 49 - Bridlington, Christo's Gallery - Glasgow, Whitby Galleries - Whitby and Vibrant Arts - Stow on the Wold. Her dazzling paintings feature in numerous private collections all over the world. She has also been featured in several magazines, including Picture Business, Prestige and Artist And Illustrator.
Artist's Statement
I work in a bold and confident abstract style painting subjects which encompass many of my own personal interests and inspirations such as fashion and body art. My work is created in mixed media, usually watercolour / pen or acrylic / pen.
